I have made this recipe a few times. A shame I've had no access to fresh cranberries. Still delicious though I would imagine fresh would make them better as dried cranberries dry out and burn when exposed to heat on the outside. I would still recommend this recipe. Great especially for christmas.
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 pound sweet Italian sausage
- 1/2 cup flour (all-purpose, gluten-free, whole wheat, etc.)
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- salt & pepper to taste
- 1 cup grated sharp white cheddar
- 2 tablespoons minced shallots
- 1/3 cup fresh cranberries, chopped
- 2 tablespoons minced chives
- 1 tablespoon dijon mustard
INSTRUCTIONS:
Preheat the oven to 350 degree and line a baking sheet with foil.Combine all the ingredients in a large bowl and mix together with a spatula or your hands until the ingredients fully incorporated.Roll the mixture into balls and place on the baking sheet.Bake for 25 minutes.Serve with cranberry sauce for dipping.
