FUNNEL CAKE FRIES


INGREDIENTS:


- 2 cups all-purpose flour

- 1 tsp baking powder

- 1/2 tsp salt

- 2 large eggs

- 1/4 cup sugar

- 1/2 cup milk

- 1 tsp vanilla


Frying and Serving:


- 3 cups vegetable oil

- powdered sugar optional

- caramel sauce optional


INSTRUCTIONS:


Funnel Cake Batter:


In a medium bowl, mix flour, baking powder and salt in a bowl.In another medium bowl, mix eggs, sugar, milk and vanilla until frothy.Add in flour mixture and blend until smooth.


Frying and Serving:


Add oil to a medium saucepan or deep fryer and heat to 350°F. Set aside a wire rack or a plate lined with paper towel.


Add batter to squeeze bottle or pastry bag. Pipe the batter in long lines into hot oil and fry 30-60 seconds until golden.


Using a slotted spoon, remove the fries to prepared plate or rack. 


Dust with optional powdered sugar and serve with optional dip(s). Enjoy!
